What is it?
The Warnborough Foundation’s COMPASS programme helps individuals discover and build on their own capabilities and interests. Participants are supported by friendly and experienced Warnborough staff, employers, mentors and coaches to reach their maximum potential.
COMPASS participants can self-discover skill sets and skills gaps while building confidence and healthy self-belief.
It gives people a clearer way of looking at the life and career options available to them.
How does it work?
First, you speak with one of our staff to see if the programme is suitable for you. We listen to what you have and/or need to customise the programme for you. On COMPASS, you will work through a series of activities and exercises in your own time and ability.
We are keen for you to engage with your local community through work experience and volunteering. This helps you to build healthy and constructive relationships with employers, your peers and your community. It gives you new work prospects as part of your personal and professional development.
How is it different?
Innovation
Creative, innovative learning and development, facilitated by helpful experts.
Practice

What it involves?

- Developing team projects in employer workplaces and reflecting on experience.
- Presenting business improvement ideas to employers and receiving constructive feedback.
- Generating 1 updated CV, 1 creative career and skills portfolio, and 1 career and work progression action plan using written, audio and digital methods. These, when formally assessed and verified can lead to a Level 2 Award in Employability Skills.
